The Waystones on The Path,
Ah, you lucky, lucky traveler—you’ve come at just the right time. The cosmos has nudged you here, the winds of destiny have fluffed your aura, and the Great Spiral of Knowing has aligned just so. I have been given a message. Not just any message, but a direct transmission, straight from the Celarien hisself. That’s right. It came to me in a vision, right between a second glass of mulled wine and the moment I almost tripped over my own enlightenment. And what was revealed to me?
Now, these are not just any Waystones, oh no. These are ancient, inscribed upon the very bones of the universe, whispered in the secret language of the wind, hidden in the rhythmic twitching of my left eyelid when the barometric pressure shifts just right.
And they must be followed in the proper order, lest one risk tumbling headlong into the Great Cosmic Muck.
Ensophia (Being in wisdom)
Ah, the opening of the great eye! The first click of the cosmic gears! Here, the Seeker learns that reality is vast, far vaster than the squishy little mind has ever imagined. It is the moment when one stands at the edge of the abyss and realizes—it’s not an abyss at all. It’s a doorway. A shimmering, beckoning, somewhat sarcastic doorway.
This is the First Turning: when the mind uncrumples and the universe says, “Ah, good, you’re finally paying attention.” It is when your mind can adapt your Logos, Ethos and Pathos to be able to flex your own inner world view to new situations.
As you do this, you will be able to wear another persons prejudices and so be able to match their behaviour. To put your mind inside another.
Some of those mind shifts can make you aware of good thoughts and bad thoughts. It’s suggested that you align your’s to thos good ones. You know “Which way is Up?”
Enaxia (Alignment with excellence)
But the Celarien was quite clear on this: Knowing ain’t enough, sunshine. You can see the path, admire the path, write poems about the path, but until you put one foot in front of the other, you’re just loitering on the edge of wisdom like an overdressed tourist. This is the time for motion, for doing, for setting forth with the conviction of a squirrel who knows exactly where he left his last acorn.
This is the Second Turning: when wisdom stops being a souvenir and becomes a way of walking.
Eusophia (True wisdom)
And then, the shift happens. Suddenly, the traveler no longer struggles with each step, no longer pauses to wonder if the path is right. The road and the traveler begin to sync up. The knowing is no longer separate from the being. One is not merely on the journey—one is the journey.
This is the Third Turning: when the Great Cosmic Snicker turns into the Great Cosmic Nod. This is when your soul has realized that we all do the same things for the same reasons, everywhere in the world. You becom adaptable to culture and social energies with ease.
Euaxia (True alignment, the perfected way)
And then, at last, the final revelation. The motion is effortless. The doubts have gone quiet. The seeker and the path are one, and the universe hums along in agreement. The Great Celarien himself leans back in his chair, sips his interdimensional tea, and says, “Ah, now you’ve got it.”
This is the Fourth Turning: when the traveler realizes the destination was never a place—it was a way of moving through the world.
Or as Ghandi suggested: “Be the Change”
The Spiral of Alignment (Which is Also a Dance)
- Ensophia – The moment of seeing, when the mind finally wakes up.
- Enaxia – The moment of motion, when wisdom demands to be lived.
- Eusophia – The moment of merging, when action and knowing intertwine.
- Euaxia – The moment of harmony, when movement and purpose hum in perfect resonance.
But beware! The road is full of snares and confusions—places where the Cosmic Muck thickens, where the voices of the Unraveled Ones whisper, “Turn back, go sideways, stare at your feet for a bit.” Many have been lost, wandering in circles, muttering to themselves about whether they left the stove on.
And then, just when all seems tangled, the Celarien himself sends two guiding questions, floating down like feathers on the wind:
“Do I like this?”
“Which way is up?”
And in that moment, the fog parts. The next step gleams. The world tilts just right.
Now walk.
